The way I've seen it 12-2-20
I have been a wanderer and traveler as far back as I can remember. Even as a child, I traveled with my mom for her coaching duties. I can even remember stories from my dad about my parents cross country trip after they were married.
For the bulk of my adult life, I have traveled for work and often just because I wanted to go there, as they say. This will undoubtedly be an underlying running theme in many of these posts, I am sure.
The images above from a trip with my buddy Mark. We were on our way to Las Vegas for a photography conference. We made several stops on the drive out and here at the Petrified Forest National Park. First protected in 1906 and made a National Park in 1962. The U.S. was the first country to create a National Park, and the system of parks worldwide now and the diversity of the lands and life they protect is astounding. If traveling for work and I am anywhere near a park, I make time and a point to visit even if it is a short visit. I call those my check it out to plan for the long trip visit :-)
